Vertebtates

 

We have classed the foragers as vertebrates for ease of classification. Although there are invertebrates that could be called foragers in the true sense of the word, it was felt that these were better suited to that page. Within this page we will be dealing mainly with the higher creatures, fish and amphibians, although some mention will be made of mammals and birds found within and utilising the resources provided by the pond on there relevant pages.

Within the vertebrate section we have used examples rather than going to deeply with regards to individual species, although some detail is included were applicable.
